Saturday 16th March 2019 was the date Lydia and Tom chose for their wedding. Booking me only at the start of the year I was very happy to still be available to photograph their big day – and what a day it was!
Living out of the area, Lydia got ready at Rockcliffe lodge – Hunely Golf Club.
The plan for the day was very much focused on a lot of time outdoors – but unfortunately the weather and forecast for the full day was not on our side with heavy rain and strong winds, but this did not stop this Brides positive outlook or plans!
The ceremony took place at Emmanuel church in Saltburn, which is a beautiful church, and the couple choose a very personal service with family and friend speakers.
The plan after the ceremony was a walk to the Valley Gardens hut in Saltburn – and very luckily the rain had settled a lot and we only had to now contend with slight drizzle (and wind) instead!
Another special mention to the amazing flowers by The Countryside Florist!
The next part of the wedding was heading to the train from Saltburn to Middlesbrough. We hit another hitch in the plans as waiting for the train with Bride & Groom and guests in tow – the train we were all waiting for was cancelled – but with the help of a impromptu ball game to keep guests occupied, everyone got the on board the next train and on route to their reception at Fork in the Road in Middlesbrough.
